i love music. it's one of the few things that can hold a tight grip on my attention for hours on end; listening to my favourite albums, playing my guitar, messing around with synths... it's all so interesting to me. while i've always loved it, the artist that truly opened up music to me was weatherday. the fact that they used garageband to record one of my favourite albums of all time (come in) is just so inspirational to me, and it made me realise that it's easy to get started with making music. even now, i really don't have anything fancy, but that dosen't stop me from experimenting and having fun!
here is where you will find anything music related that i've made/like; reviews, songs, thoughts, etc. ^_^
a very messy, noisy, stunning debut from forest spirit, sun on your back. i love the incredibly distorted, lo-fi guitars contrasted with serene piano and acoustic guitar sections throughout this album, especially on entr'acte. entr'acte has such an elegant piano intro that makes the first, sudden drop so much more impactful, and that song's transition into crash!!!!!!! burn!!!!!!!!! is perfect. another highlight is the outro; bringing back the intro riff to close an album always gets me, and that spoken section is devastating. in general i just love this album's sound of heavy distortion and warmer acoustics. i can definitely see this album growing on me in the future <3

another 5th wave classic. beautiful chamber pop sections mixed with heavily distorted guitars and devstating lyrics, all blanketed by the low fidelity recording. warm and comforting instrumentals with dark, crushing lyrics.
fav: title track, revisited

i can't put into words how amazing and influential this album is to me. desperate vocals shouting for attention over satisfyingly loud guitars with incredible lead parts, broken up with small, acoustic breaths to not drown in the noise. pure 5th wave emo heaven.
fav: mio, min mio, agatka

while it's sister album was my favourite at first, this one has grown on me significantly. so much creativity in every song; genre-blending madness and beautiful, esoteric lyrics that act both as story and instrument.
fav: don't make me choose T_T every song is incredible
